Student Excursion to the People’s Republic of China: Thematic Sommer excursion "Chinese Culture Experience Program“ in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia
Our Chinese partner university „Inner Mongolia University” invites OVGU students to get to know China from the perspective of Chinese culture, history and academia. The main destination is the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.The thematic excursion is particularly aimed at students of engineering disciplines.

Eligibility: Students enrolled in OVGU are welcome to apply. The subject-specific excursion is designed for students of engineering disciplines in particular.
Program language: English
FAQ Meeting: on February 16, 2026, from 4:00 PM to approx. 5:00 PM. Please register by February 15, 2026, in order to receive the meeting link. The zoom meeting will be held in English.
Visa rules: In 2026, visa-free entry in China up to 30 days is available for persons of German and other nationalities
Services included: All program costs including accommodation (double rooms), meals, and transport within China are covered by the Chinese hosts.
Not included: Round-trip airfare to China (approx. €900 – €1,400); details to be provided in the FAQ meeting on 16 Feb. 2026, at 04:00 p.m.
Program duration: Expected July 31/August 01, 2026 – August 12/13, 2026
Flight to/from Beijing: Group travel, or individual travel; details at the info meeting on Feb 16, 2026.

Invitation for an Online “Spanish as a Foreign Language” Course for (Advanced) Beginners (A1+/A2 level), offered by the Universidad Nacional del Sur (Bahía Blanca, Argentina) from March – June 2026
This course is specially designed for non-Spanish-speaking students and provides an excellent opportunity to build Spanish language skills in a flexible, accessible, and supportive online environment.
- Duration and start dates of the course: from March to July 2026, without exact starting date as of now. In 2025, classes schedule was: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. (Argentine time, via Google Meet) plus asynchronic work by Moodle platform.

- The course will provide a certificate equivalent to A2.

DAAD Fellowship: Green Hydrogen
The DAAD provides Fellowships for Graduates, PhDs and Postdocs with projects concerning Green Hydrogen in a foreign country. Gradutes will have to apply until 31st March, PHD Students and Postdocs may apply at any time.
Office Hours of the International Office in Building 01 (CWC)
Since Summer of 2024 the International Office is located at the Building 01 (Campus Welcome Center). Please check the pages of the respective employees for their office hours and locations of the appointments. To book an appointment, please use the respective appointment booking tool. Consultations without appointment are unfortunately not possible. You can reach us in Building 01 via the main entrance directly next to the Uni-Porta (at the tram stop "Universität").
