Based on the Bachelor knowledge of engineering and natural sciences the programme offers in depth studies of Medical Systems Engineering, in particular Medical Technology and Biotechnology and Medical Informatics. Additionally it comprises general courses in Medical Science, Neuroscience and legal issues.
Career Perspectives
Development engineer in medical engineering industry; computer scientist in a hospital, in the healthcare system, in the medical industry; developer of intelligent human interfaces, amongst others multimodal device handling, user adaptive control; scientist in industrial, clinical and academical research in the field of medicine and brain science; consultant for embedded medical systems and machines; product management and sales of medical systems and machines; freelance work in the field of medical engineering and medical informatics.
Competencies and Interests Required
Profound knowledge of electrical engineering or computer science or mechanical engineering. Basic knowledge in biology and anatomy, interest in medical engineering and neurosciences.
