Objectives
Content-related focus lies on questions of the theoretic and empirical analysis of eco-nomic measures in different policy areas, e.g. trade policy, environmental policy, labor market and social policy. Besides the traditional theoretical analysis, there is an em-phasis on modern empirical procedures of evidence-based political consulting as well as on behavioral economics, e.g. laboratory experiments.
This postgraduate study program addresses students with a relevant economic educa-tion. It offers a professional economic qualification on a graduate level. The basis of this program are modules in quantitative measures, micro- and macroeconomics, as well as evidence-based policy analysis. Especially the seminars in the specialization (2nd & 3rd semester) enhance the students to understand the complex institutional and social framework conditions of economic and economic-political researches and to incorporate these in scientific analysis and problem solving.
Modules are offered in German as well as in English.
