Ziel des Seminars ist es, grundlegende Forschungsfelder der noch jungen Forschungsrichtung "Internet Research" inhaltlich und methodisch zu erarbeiten. Dabei soll auch das Inventar von Foren- und Chatanalyse sowie von Homepageinterpretationen und Online-Ethnographie vermittelt werden. Zentrale Forschungsthemen und -topoi sollen in Form einer bilanzierenden Bestandsaufnahme ebenfalls rekonstruiert werden.
